31 Jan 2018 by Angie Johnston

New Zealand Emerging Sox Under 17 Boys Head Coach Kurtis Tomkins has named a squad for a series of camps and competitions in 2018.

The 25 man squad will assemble 19-22 April in Auckland for a 4 day camp in conjunction with the Developing Sox U15s. The camp will also include a series of games against an Australian selection.

“I was impressed with the talent on display at the U17 nationals in Manawatu with a large number of new players putting their hand up for selection with outstanding tournaments. The quality of the competition had significantly increased from last year and the new squad and campaign should provide a competitive environment to showcase this age groups talents”, says Tomkins.

In July a 17 man roster will travel abroad to the Friendship Games in Redlands, Queensland where they will compete in the International Friendship Series.
